Origin Web Design began in 1998 by Matt Jorgensen as the online design component of John Bishop's OriginArts Graphic Design and Origin Records. With a primary focus of providing musicians and artists with an online presence, Origin has created countless projects for independent artists.

In 2001, Origin Web Design began to take on larger clients and has developed sites for Merit Software, The Freeman Companies, Catholic Community Charities of Western Washington, among others. With this growth, services such as website hosting, database development and maintenance and online marketing campaigns helped to establish Origin as a leader in the entertainment genre.
